The Doñana National Park is a mosaic of ecosystems playing host to a biodiversity that is the only one of its kind in Europe. Its salient feature is its marshes, which thousands of European and African birds pass through or use to breed or spend the winter. Some unique species in danger of extinction live in the Park, such as the Spanish imperial eagle and the Iberian lynx.
